introducing daniel lynch aka junker projects

My name is Daniel Lynch.

I am an artist working in many different different mediums, all in some way utilizing found materials and waste products.

My art is my activism. My own personal protest against the disposable objects that define so much of our lives these days, and the consumerist culture that encourages us to buy more things and turn them into junk.

Our society is now at its most wasteful, most frivolous.

Our modern society is consuming more resources than ever before in human history. The piles of garbage are growing faster than we can hide them and yet most people can still maintain a large degree of separation, both physically and mentally, from their own garbage and waste. Once an item is used up it is often discarded, never to be thought of again.

I want to bring that garbage back into the viewers focus and have them consider it for longer than the time it took to throw it out in the first place.

By creating art from the things that i find, (the things that the everyday folk leave behind) i hope to inspire audiences to think about their own waste in a new exciting way.
